Tony contacted us after another tinting business couldn’t complete the job.

They needed to reduce heat and glare into the ground floor bar.

There were 146 louvre windows, and some fixed panes also.

This job was tricky as we had to accurately measure each individual pane as they all varied slightly. We then had to recreate them in Adobe Illustrator with millimetre precision. Outsource to Exotic Graphix to laser cut each panel – as we need to cut around the mounting brackets. Then install.

The client was extremely happy with the end result and has asked up to come back and do level 1… we are waiting on a builder doing a renovation to get us in in late July/early August – watch this space.

We’ve done quite a few small jobs for these guys. The photos given are for a big scissor door in the performing arts area. They required the best heat rejection, so we used Llumar Sky Blue 14 to block 80% of solar heat entering.

This is a top end Jewish school. After receiving a security report from an Israeli security firm advising that they needed security film for blast mitigation on their windows, Matt contacted us. They shared the report and asked for a film to meet a certain European standard – no such film existed. We made a recommendation of film/silicone combination which the security firm approved.

From there we accurately measured and assessed every window, submitted a quote, had the quote approved, and began works.

Our process was quite simple.

  1. Remove existing silicone.
  2. Install security film (Llumar SCL7)
  3. Install new silicone (Dow Corning 995 Structural Silicone)

As all our work was to be carried out outside school hours, this job took 9 staff approximately 3 months.

This job was done in 2023. The client needed heat reduction in their home. It started with a site inspection to measure windows and discuss needs. We then suggested a couple of options with varying outcomes. Amanda chose Llumar Sky Blue 38 to allow maximum daylight while still achieving 57% solar heat reduction.

We mostly frost windows up to 1700mm FFL (From floor level / finished floor level) for overlooking. This is extremely common these days with new homes overlooking their neighbours and is a compliance requirement.

As for before and after, I would suggest the before photo be a screenshot of the plans then the after shot be a completed job.

This job was passed on to us as another tinting business couldn’t complete it. We used 3M Prestige 40 X. Due to the windows being almost 6m high and limited internal access we used an external product to reduce heat and glare inside the foyer and restaurant.

The job required permits from Yarra Trams and City of Melbourne, traffic management, scissor lift access, and clearly working within weather constraints.

We completed it with 4 staff in 3 days, including weekend work due to permit constraints.

The customer was very happy with the result.
